IDEF Functional Model

The IDEF Functional Model, published by IDESG as an approved version 1.0 here: PDF link, describes identity management activities in a multi-layer model which includes a taxonomy of five types of Core Operations:

These activities and services collectively are defined as "Digital identity management functions" in IDESG's Baseline Functional Requirements.

In addition to that list of Core Operations, the Functional Model defines a series of Functional Roles, as well as similar lists of activities and roles for Governance and Accountability, Interperability and Administration.
