Minutes
- Glossary:
- This UXC meeting was a working meeting on the glossary. The team started to go over the high level requirements and worked to define terms that were not clear. Suggestion was made to use the term “dictionary” instead of “glossary.” The old glossary effort and what UXC is trying to do now are different. UXC is going to create a page for now called UXC Dictionary. Definitions will be defined on a case by case basis. Focus is to work on any of the terms, including user that need to be defined in the UXC requirements.
- UXC is focused on the human interface of the system, yet others are going to use the term “user” that increases the definition to machines. There is going to be a different set of definitions. “User” is on the FMO radar for a definition. UXC has a problem – we can’t change our requirements – until we do round #2. However, we can change the supplemental guidance input.
- The charter of this committee is the human interface, the user at the end of the chain that interfaces with the rest of IDESG. If that is the case, someone commented that we don’t have a common taxonomy then.
- UXC is defining user on their terms. Different parts of the ecosystem have different needs. UXC will cross reference terms and definitions, by defining for our needs. User=human. We are using user as only being human beings. There was disagreement in the meeting about the definition of user from an IDESG perspective.
- Use of “user centric” discussed (sample usage from NSTIC) and used in a lot of places. Mary added to the UXC Dictionary page. Ann will add more user centric definitions to the page.
- HL Requirement #2. “Entities” – any organization providing identity services added.
- HL Requirement #3 and HL Requirement #4 discussed and definitions added to the UXC Dictionary.
