Foundation for Use Case Development: IDESG Guiding Principles and Platform Services
Vulnerable ‘Community’ Population Attribute Needs:
- Public Safety and Access to Public and Social Services including:
- Health
- Wellness
- Shelter-Meals
- Transportation
- Trade-Skill Development
Location: a Township, City, County, Region or State with an organizational commitment to make a difference by providing a vulnerable person with a community identity card so they are welcomed as part of the community service system that coordinates social services.
Why a local community? Each Vulnerable person will need to be known by a trusted source in their community in order to receive an ID card or a (mobile) mID for them to use to assert their identity; the process will be privacy and security compliant.
ID card proofing: The foundation for an ID card would be the initial part of the Registration process based on IDESG Guiding Principles. A smartphone owner would go through a full Registration process where their identity is verified, validated and attributes are captured as part of their community mobile ID credential.
Use Case Population Recommended: The Homeless that include the following sub-groups:
- Children and Families - Special needs children: autism, blind and deaf
- Seniors’
- Veterans
- Inmates (soon to be released)
- Unemployed
(Not an exhaustive list but a core representation of vulnerable groups)
Community Type Service Centers that serve the above Vulnerable Populations:
- Shelters - Public Health Centers
- Assisted Living Centers - VA Clinics
- Rehabilitation Facilities - Juvenile Centers
- Unemployment Centers - Community Education Centers
- Food banks - Faith Based Organizations
Community programs that assist in helping vulnerable individuals learn:
- Jobs and Resource Fairs - Local Library-Internet Access -Wellness Fairs
- Educational Training Programs - Job Training Skills Programs
Mission: To establish an identity credentialing program that a Community can adapt to their culture, needs and profile to help vulnerable populations integrate into their community and to assist vulnerable persons in asserting their identity to be accountable. The process also benefits a community in efficiently coordinating social and public health services.
IDESG Benefit: To demonstrate the IDEF Registry, the future Trust Framework coupled with its Privacy, Security, Usability and Interoperability functions and multifactor capabilities.
Market and Technology Vectors: Smart Cities, Cybersecurity and end user Privacy; CIAM.
It’s coming: to access the community library’s internet a user will need to have a mID.
