Any named web end-point providing or using identity services. Also known as a Entity.
Notes
An entity may have an identifier that can be verified.
There are three main categories of Digital Entity: (1) the User Agent, (2) the Relying Party and (3) the Identity Provider.
Other categories which may be present in an identity ecosystem include: Attribute Providers, Credential Service Providers and Authorizing Agents.
