Meeting Notes

  • Agenda
  • Current Work and Activities Discussion:

  • The team continued their review of the RP System website work that Tom Jones has been working on. You can find the site here on the Wiki: https://wiki.idesg.org/wiki/index.php?title=Best_Practices_and_Example_for_RP_System
  • http://idesg-rp.azurewebsites.net/
  • This is a working session of the UXC.
    • Tom Jones spoke with a few people as a result of the last meeting and made some more updates to the RP System website.
    • IDESG leadership is looking for a new basis for the website. Tom’s work could be used as an example to building out a website for IDESG in the future. IDESG could become a paradigm for good relying party website.
    • This spring it is our plan to work on and complete phase 2 of the IDEF Registry site. And to put in an identity system.
    • It is the Board’s vision that a person coming into the system, who is not a member, join IDESG. Joining IDESG means having credentials to get into the website as well as the Wiki. We have two different login methods right now. We would like one login system. Hans Vargas, has offered to do the front end of the main site for us. What Tom is documenting here are the goals for UXC and the requirements. We want to share this information with Privacy and Security as well. Hans would work on the main site and the Wiki and folks who do the development around the IDEF Registry (Early Adopters), would work on that site. We are looking for a common set of requirements and that is what Tom has been providing us. When we create the documentation here, we will share with others who will give us feedback.
    • There are some parts of IDESG that are not aware that the Wiki is being used. It is important to get the message out that the Wiki is alive and well and that our intent is to integrate it into a single sign on system. Pam Dingle from Ping supports the backend and Hans Vargas may be able to help us as well in the future.
    • Tom Jones listed the four pieces of technology that IDESG is currently using. They are all separate technologies and it will be interesting to integrate them. There is no ability to generate tokens to going from one site to another.
  • Tom asked the team to go to http://idesg-rp.azurewebsites.net/ and login using either Facebook or Google and provide feedback on their experience.

11. Adjourn 1:00p.m. EDT

  • Next meeting is scheduled for January 4, 2016.
