Meeting Notes from the Privacy Requirements Working Group Meeting on 4/28/14.
- The group began to review the descriptions of the functional elements and decide which of the derived requirements should be associated with each element.
- Participants who have been involved in the functional model work explained that the elements should not be viewed sequentially. For example, under Registration, the eligibility determination element should be considered merely as a decision-making element. Should that decision include the need to verify additional attributes, that additional verification would be considered part of the attribute verification element. This explanation helped to clarify why the requirement around minimization of collection and transmission of personal information would not be associated with eligibility determination.
- Jim Fenton raised a concern that the lack of a definition for credential created complications in assessing the Credentialing element and took an action item to draft an email on the concern.
