Primary Use case scenarios

The primary uses for a system may be listed as

• Registration for a new digital identity
• Credentialing and life-cycle of credentialing
• Using a single digital identity to access multiple online services
• Using trusted attribute store
• Proofing some attributes (verification of ownership)
• Authorizing access to attribute values

Since IdEF is seen as a conglomoration of individual trust frameworks, two types of scenarios can be visualized. One is the set of interactions within a particular trust framework. And the second is interactions across trust frameworks.
