  • Meeting was called to order at 1:01 p.m. EDT


Agenda Review

  • Mary reviewed the agenda here: www.idecosystem.org/wiki/ucx_meeting_agenda
  • Motion to approve the agenda accepted.
  • Roll call; Quorum determination. Quorum was met.

  • Minutes for May 15, May 19, May 22, June 2, June 9, June 23 and June 30 need approval. Since there was light attendance at today’s call, UXC decided to hold off until July 27 call to approve. Minutes are now on the wiki page instead of the file depot.


Minutes

  • Supplemental Guidance discussion:
    • We have until August 7 to submit the UXC Supplemental Guidance to FMO.
    • Review of UXC Requirements, and Supplemental information, Guidelines and Metrics:

  • Glossary
    • Glossary is important to UXC supplemental guidance.
    • UXC has glossary terms in the supplemental guidance that need definition. The issue: UXC turned in requirements to the FMO; however, all requirements from other groups don't yet have definitions for the words. UXC is working on definitions for the supplemental guidance independent from other groups. If we don't get a general definitions page up quickly, we'll have to fill our supplemental guidance with definitions that are particular to the UXC requirements and not very well organized for all. Suggestion is to set up a place on the wiki where everyone could access and update their definitions. Other committees could update their terms associated with their focused area. Mary suggested UXC start to update terms located here https://www.idecosystem.org/wiki/Glossary and link to it from our supplementary information.
    • FMO – by August 7, they would like to have material for supplementary guidance to present to customers, including glossary work.
    • Mary proposes UXC have a working session over the next week to work on supplemental guidance and glossary.
  • Supplemental Guidance edits
    • Mary started with HL Requirement #4, at the bottom and discussed terms in the common semantic domain re: user. Discussion took place.
    • When an individual person represents a company, they would be a human user trying to set up an identity for a company. People may be asking for identities as well as on behalf of others, i.e. set up an identity for an Ebay store. Suggestion was that is a service provider.
    • Usability: Need to look at perspective of who is reviewing UXC requirements.
    • Do we need two definitions, human user and user on behalf of company? Add to glossary.


Wrap up and actions for next week

  • UXC to continue their work on supplemental guidance and glossary. Next meeting 2:00 p.m. ET on Monday, July 27. Linda to set up WebEx.
