Meeting Notes

  • Mary Hodder led the call. Notes taken by Linda Braun
  • Meeting was called to order at 12:02 p.m. EDT
  • Minutes for Sept. 29, 2015 will be reviewed and approved at next week’s meeting.

Minutes

  • Paul Knight created static PDFs for the requirements from current wiki pages. We reviewed the emails he sent explaining what documents he pulled into static pages, and reviewed the static PDFs themselves. One email titled “I copied a couple of documents from wiki to FileDepot” – sent 10/6/15 @ 6:18pm. Second email also titled “I coped a couple of documents from wiki to FileDepot” – sent 10/7 @ 12:54 pm
  • Group decided to remove two documents (email was sent to Paul and Jamie requesting this):
  • Doc linked from “user” in the dictionary on the wiki, called in the file depot: User-centric_design_-_Yahoo_Search_Results.pdf

https://www.idecosystem.org/filedepot_download/1629/1947

  • Doc linked from “user-centric” in the dictionary on the wiki, called in the file depot: User-centric_design_-_Yahoo_Search_Results.pdf

https://www.idecosystem.org/filedepot_download/1629/1948

  • Group decided to remove the link to the wiki at the top of the static dictionary PDF.
  • Group decided to leave pending definitions in the static dictionary page so readers can see which terms the UX committee is in the process of working to define.
  • Group discussed how often we will be able to adjust the static pages (dictionary, metrics & guidelines, and references). Mary said she’d bring this up to leadership to determine if we’ll be able to adjust static pages regularly to reflect ongoing efforts (such as adding new definitions when group deems it necessary), or if these pages will be considered part of the supplemental guidance and thus can only be updated in the next version of supplemental guidance.
  • Jim Zok brought up an issue we had discussed in a smaller group last week: the privacy committee thought it best to adjust the title of the Usable-7 requirement to say “user requests” instead of “user requirements” since the UX committee adjusted the terminology throughout the requirement. The full group agreed to this change in title of the requirement. Email was sent making this request to Paul and Jamie.
  • Next regularly meeting, Oct. 20, 2015.
